Smok has achieved its goal of making the Pro Pod a pod that is easy to hold and carry. Neither its dimensions nor its weight will make us lie. It measures 107 x 24.5 x 15mm and weighs 47g. It is therefore a thin and long e-cigarette that its owner will have no trouble slipping into a pocket.

But in terms of ergonomics, the manufacturer goes further. He had the idea to place, on the bottom of the battery, a textured surface through oxidation by sandblasting and silicone gel. This surface makes the hands feel more comfortable. In addition, the fire button is located on top for easy thumb access.

Finally, the finishes are clearly elegant and, as a result, this Pro Pod is not only an ergonomic and transportable kit. It is also a kit that is pleasing to the eye.

A pod designed for ease of use

The Pro Pod kit has a built-in 800 mAh battery, which gives a one-day battery life. The battery is recharged via a USB Type-C cable (included), which must be plugged into the port on the bottom of the pod. Moreover, when vaping, the user will know the remaining battery level thanks to the LED light above the fire button. To inform about this level, the LED will use 3 colours :

• The green colour when the charge level is above 70%
• Orange when the charge level is between 30 and 70%
• Red when the charge level is below 30%

The power reaches a maximum of 22W when the use of the device is very simple as no adjustment is required. The user will in fact have the choice between 2 types of inhalation :

• An inhalation via the auto-draw system, that is to say that it will be enough to inhale to activate the pod
• Inhalation by pressing the fire button. The LED will emit a blue colour when this mode of use is activated. To do this, the button must be pressed 3 times in succession.

In the end, with its moderate power of 22W and its simplicity of use, the Pro Pod is perfect for anyone taking their first steps in vape.

A 2ml cartridge

To get the best vapes, Smok has equipped this pod with the Novo 2X cartridge, a cartridge with a capacity of 2ml and a transparent part that gives a view of the e-liquid level. The user can fill this cartridge from the top after removing the top cap and will appreciate the convenience of this type of filling. In addition, at the bottom of the cartridge is a silicone ring to limit the risk of leaks.

And for those who wonder about the airflow, it takes the form of 2 perforations located on each side of the battery. It is certainly not adjustable, but this cartridge is nonetheless capable of perfecting the vape. Indeed, it has a built-in coil of 0.8 ohm to offer a soft vapor as well as pure and rich flavors from the first to the last puff. It should be noted that 2 cartridges equipped with this coil are provided and that these Novo 2X are oriented towards an MTL draw, which will appeal more to beginners vapers.

Finally, the battery is compatible with all cartridges in the Novo series, namely the Novo, Novo 2 and Novo 2X cartridges. The Novo 2X cartridge supplied here is compatible with the Novo, Novo 2, Novo 2S and Novo 2X models.

Smok makes an excellent pod. While beginners are most likely to use this Pro Pod, experienced vapers will like to use it as an add-on kit.
